NH for EV

Photonics

Our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji coined three beautiful words, “Reform, Perform and Transform” to motivate and promote our country's potential entrepreneurs to step forward and contribute to the development of the eco-system of the country with eVehicle concept. At Photonics, we feel honoured and privileged to be a Solar Power Technology partner of this dream project.

How the Charging Stations will operate

“Electric mobility needs to be perceived as a multi-dimensional system, and not as a stand-alone product. Charging infrastructure, availability of breakdown assistance and 24*7 network connectivity and tracking of vehicles are all parts of this system.”

Project Director – NHforEV

What is NHEV

NHfor EV is an initiative by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji to convert the Jaipur-Delhi-Agra highway into an e-highway providing the needed facilities like Charging facility for electric vehicles, automatic roadside assistance, 24X7 connectivity and anti-theft protection to the e-vehicles running on the 500 km corridor in phase I of the project and later the entire framework will be replicated pan-India for transforming the rest of the 12 identified corridors by Ministry of Power into electric highways. Photonics is an esteemed partner of this great initiative for catering the services of equipping the charging stations with solar PV panels.

Photonics

This can be well-elaborated with the help of the following points

  • This initiative will reduce energy demand on the grid due to EV charging as the charging power is locally generated in a ‘green’ manner through solar panels.
  • EV battery doubles up as energy storage for the PV and reduces the negative impact of large scale PV integration in the distribution network.
  • The long parking time of EV paves way for the implementation of Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology where the EV acts as a controllable spinning reserve for the smart grid.

Why NH for EV

  • 2 out of 12 National Highways -- Yamuna Expressway and Delhi – Jaipur (NH 48)under, “Ease of Doing Business” (EODB) Program, the "NHforEV" is to enable India’s first two routes for EVs with an international standard charging ecosystem.
  • These two prototyping highways will be equipped with 18 charging stations and 270 Charging points.
  • These highways will be Smart Highways in terms of safety and assistance in case of breakdown. Because, each charging station shall be equipped with 50 km Geo-Fencing and emergency SOS services for vehicles under its circle.
  • National Highway for Electric Vehicle by 2020 (#NHforEV2020) is 1st intercity e-mobility prototypical program to f    acilitate EODB (Ease of Doing Business) through SWC (Single Window Clearance) under Ministry of Commerce & Industry support based on reforms of the Ministry of Power for the setup of Charging Stations on National Highways.
  • These charging stations will be based on the Capex and Opex financial models of solar power generation stations.
  • The energy conversion at the Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles will be 100% emission-free e-mobility.
  • Our role begins with the installation of the solar power pack systems for charging stations on 500 km long National Highway 48 and Yamuna Express Highway.
  • We have a 24X7 available team of the dedicated engineers to cope with any emergent situation arising at the charging stations.
  • Our Solar Power Pack System comprises Engineering, Procurement and Construction services which are the need of the hour in terms of the infrastructure to be set up in India.
  • Every segment of our services is closely connected through high-end technology that maintains an uninterrupted flow of communication and services.
  • Entire field-staff undergoes rigorous training before their fieldwork.
Nature has gifted more than actually we needed and hence today we need to return what we have consumed more than needed by adopting eVehicles.
